Nickel Allergies Anyone??

Good evening!

I have learned recently that a few of you have nickel allergies. What does this mean for your shopping at Scribbles Boutique? Well, it means that any of the sterling pieces you buy are .925 Sterling Silver, so you shouldn’t have to worry about those BUT if your piece has an added charm or jewel then THAT may affect your allergy.

For example, the Family tree (Tierra Cast 22kt gold plated Lead Free Pewter) that is set in the circle washer, if this piece is affecting your allergy, it likely isn’t the circle washer itself but rather the tree charm. See picture.

So, how to work with this allergy? If you like this particular style of necklace then the tree charm can be put on a full sterling disc so the charm does not come into direct contact with your skin ~OR~ you can be sure to wear it over your clothes to avoid skin contact.

If it is other styles you like, be sure to inform me of your allergy and I will help you to find a piece that suits your needs!

Moving forward…

Good afternoon my friends!

I haven’t done very well at using this site to date, mostly because I am trying to learn HOW to use it! But, moving forward I am trying to get better at these things…hence the New Years Resolutions!

But let’s back up a bit…to Christmas! This was Scribbles Boutique’s first “real” Christmas. Last year I was mostly getting started and toying with the idea of starting my own business. I’m proud to say that I did it! I am also proud to say that this Christmas I stamped 98, yes you heard right, 98 pieces! Can you believe it? I’m so honored that so many of you chose Scribbles Boutique to give to your loved ones. Thank you so very much!

I don’t normally set New Years Resolutions, mostly because I think they are just setting us up for failure. How many of us year after year go back to the gym and then give up a couple weeks later when we are too “busy”? Am I right? So now, I am changing my perception. Instead of resolutions that are so easily given up on, I have GOALS. These goals may all get accomplished in a week, a month, a year, or maybe I continue them on to next year if need be. Point being, goals are meant to achieve, and at whatever point I can do that, I will be proud :)

Wondering what my goals are for this year? Simple, to become more organized. In life. At home. At work.  Simple as that. I have already found a few ways for home and life that I LOVE already and thought I would share with you! Who doesn’t like to be more organized?

See this picture, here I have simply added a few storage bins to my shelving unit. Might seem silly to feel so good about this, but you have no idea just how many things you can put away when you have bins! And the best part is, they were cheap – thank you Dollarama!

Now this one, my awesome husband bought me this for Christmas. A simple and modern magazine rack. Previously these were kept…well…whereever they landed. Now they have a home, and it still looks stylish.

What woman won’t appreciate this picture! My bathroom drawer has always been unorganized with a bunch of different make up – that is, until now. This was also a Christmas gift from my husband, knowing that I had really wanted one. It has eye shadows, blush, lipstick and its own applicators all tucked neatly into this one place – time saver AND space saver to have everything all together!

Finally, this is my absolute favourite. This calendar is amazing! Not only does it have a line for every family member, but it also has a to do list, grocery list AND a menu! LOVE it!

That’s it! So far anyways! Those are some of my new findings to date on how to make life and home a little more organized, so simple. Now to get work organized, here is my plan…

My goal for this year is to make it easier for YOU to shop at Scribbles Boutique. My plan is to get this site up and running with pictures and prices, and hopefully a link to buy each item. I really want to start selling on Etsy, I know so many of you love that site already and it would really give Scribbles Boutique the chance to expand. Last year I really took a lot of time branding, this year will be organizing. Wish me luck! If you have any great tips, please share!
